The Charles City Community School District knows families, organizations, and businesses make plans based upon the school calendar, and the District is a vital communication link to people in the community. Our text, email, and phone calling system, works well alerting school families when we have a change of plans.
The District also partners with Floyd County Emergency Management with messaging during times of urgent community need like the floods of 2016.
We are now expanding the reach of our text, email, and phone calling system to families in the community who would like district notifications, i.e., weather, late buses, emergency, and general announcements.
