Exploratory Classes (all grades)

All students will be scheduled in the following exploratory classes:
Art, Technology, Family & Consumer Science, General Music (6th and 7th grade) and Life Skills.
Physical
Education will be assigned to all
students for the entire year on an every other day
basis.
Band,
Orchestra, and Chorus are
electives.
8th grade students an also add 9-week advanced courses in Art, Social Sciences, Ethnic Foods, Communications, Technology, and General Music.
Students may also be involved at different times during the year in our Gifted & Talented Program based on ability and interest. Some students may also increase their achievement levels by being placed in Math and /or Reading Workshop.
Students may be involved in the following special programs, which may take the place of some of the above courses: Resource Room (Special Education) or Student Planning.
